This week we're rendering a new DEADPOOL adventure for Marvel, and the script necessitated the creation of a Deadpool Zombie Head. The image seems appropriate to the date, so here it is. BOO!

NAT TURNER WINS HARVEY AWARD!

Thanks to everyone who voted to elect Kyle Baker's NAT TURNER the BEST GRAPHIC ALBUM - PREVIOUSLY PUBLISHED in this year's Harvey Awards! Thanks also to the great folks at ABRAMS BOOKS for turning this "previously published" material into a beautifully re-designed edition whose thickness we would compare to a phone book if anyone still remembered what a phone book was. Thanks also to all the schools and churches who have been using NAT TURNER as an educational tool in their classrooms. That's what it was intended for all along.

A complete list of this year's Harvey Award nominees can be found here.

Feel free to obtain your own copy of Nat Turner today!

Bad boys, Nasty Girl

Like many cartoonists, I have more ideas than time to execute them. When deciding what my next project will be, I often go to my files and choose a great unpublished idea from years ago. Today I was working out my production schedule for the next three animated cartoons of 2009. I decided it was time to shoot a cartoon I wrote a story for in 2002.

These drawings were in that file from 2002, and I'd completely forgotten I did them! They're idea sketches, and I've changed the story a lot since 2002, so these characters probably won't be in the cartoon. It seemed a shame to let these drawings go to waste (I like them!), so I'm posting them on the blog for your amusement.
